Prints, Small Sculptures

The Little Rose Thorn Shoes, now part of the permanent collection of the The Brüder Grimm Museum in Kassel.

I make, I mend, I stitch. Even something as small as a stitch can become subversive.

I work with sculpture and printmaking, usually cyanotype. I explore themes of disclosing and revealing, wrapping up, birthing and layering. Fragility, rather than protection. Things which are broken and things which are mended.

Recently, I have re-visited themes of old European folk and fairy tale. I am moved by the process of making; sculpture, weaving, knitting and sewing.
